Making MONTESSORI Learning Accessible FOR EVERYONE
Annual Fund
Black Mountain Montessori is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible. As a private, non-profit school serving the greater Asheville community, our operating expenses are supported by tuition, fundraising opportunities, and donations.
Part of our organizational mission is for our school to be accessible to all families no matter their financial means. We call this effort “Montessori for Everyone.” Each year we actively raise funds so that we are able to offer financial assistance to our families who need it. In addition, the cost of each child’s education is more than our annual tuition fee. Our Annual Fund drive is a necessary part of bridging that gap so that we can continue providing the highest quality, authentic Montessori education for preschool-6th grade. Your donation dollars help further our mission so we can remain dedicated to cultivating peace, independence and life preparation one child at a time.

PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDRAISING
Special Events
Annual Spring Fling
Join us to celebrate spring, art, music and our wonderful school community! We host this event at the school and it includes the Student Art Show and Spring Music Concert. The celebration begins with student performances followed by live music and fun, including jumbo yard games and a dance party for kids of all ages. For the Spring Fling potluck, we provide the main entree and drinks and ask that each family bring a side dish or a dessert to share.
Annual Creekside JamFest
Live music, food and fun for the whole family at Pisgah Brewing Company's outdoor stage! Our Inaugural event in October of 2019 was incredible so we’re planning it again. A huge thank you goes out to our partner, Pisgah Brewing, as well as all of the amazing sponsors. Last year’s event featured performances by Larry Keel Experience, Dangermuffin and the Get Right Band in addition to fun, family-friendly activities including Mountain Circus Arts, Asheville Hoops, and Asheville Plays. Food trucks, refreshments for all ages, and craft vendors will be on site for all your festival needs.

EVERY BOX TOP IS WORTH 10 CENTS
Box Tops For Education
The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products, and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online. Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for our school. It adds up fast if we all work together and it’s so easy! The original process of clipping Box Tops off product packaging is being phased out of production but still exists on many products found in stores— and we still want ‘em! Just bring the clips in an envelope into the Black Mountain Montessori front office. Make sure each clip has a clearly visible product acronym and valid expiration date.
